Applications
One core technology, two main use cases
Elhytec converts electricity into hydrogen stored safely and easily, then releases hydrogen gas or electricity on demand.
This enables modular solutions for energy autonomy and on-site hydrogen supply
1.Hydrogen Storage & Supply for Direct Gas Use
ElhyGen, Elhytec’s integrated hydrogen storage and generation unit, offers a local alternative to compressed gas cylinders (H₂ or He) for intermittent or variable needs — such as weather balloons or small industrial applications.
Key advantages
-
Autonomous: on-site, on-demand hydrogen generation
-
Simple: plug-and-play setup, minimal infrastructure
-
Safe: no continuous high-pressure storage
-
Cost-efficient: lower CAPEX and reduced logistics
Models & performance (purity 99.9% – 16 bar)
-
ElhyGen 100 – approx. 100 g H₂ per batch
-
ElhyGen 1000 – approx. 800 g H₂ per batch (> 1 B50 equivalent)
(Other configurations available on request.)
Typical applications
-
Weather balloons (radiosondes, pilot balloons)
-
Maintenance and testing (purges, leak checks)
-
Small-scale industrial or laboratory hydrogen users
2. Hydrogen Storage & Supply for Power Generation (Remote Sites)
The Elhytec Integrated Module fits into an energy chain combining
PV + Li-ion batteries (short-term) + fuel cell (long-term)
to provide 365-day/year power autonomy for off-grid locations.
Key advantages
-
Full-year electrical autonomy
-
Intrinsic safety – no large, permanent high-pressure H₂ stock
-
Solar optimization – long-duration energy storage
Designed to match real-world needs
Independent sizing of:
Stored energy (kWh) + Discharge power (fuel cell) + Recharge power (PV)
Models & performance (purity 99.97% – 16 bar)
-
ElhyPower 50 – 50 kWh stored electrical energy
-
ElhyPower 750 – 750 kWh stored electrical energy
(Larger or multi-module systems available.)
Target applications
-
Mountain shelters, telecom sites, monitoring stations, remote bases
-
Solar-dominant microgrids requiring seasonal autonomy
